Wholesale Food Prices Declined for the Fifth Consecutive Month; First 12-Month Decline in Six Years 4/17/2015 3:35:44 PM Average wholesale food prices were down 5.0 percent during the last five months, the largest five-month decline in six years.  As a result, wholesale food prices stood 0.5 percent below their year-ago level, the first time since November 2009 that prices declined on a 12-month basis.
